Belonging without Barriers

Kol Shira is built on the desire to make a vibrant Jewish community that is welcoming and accessible to all.

That’s why we do not have a traditional dues model. Instead of requiring set dues, membership is defined by a shared commitment to the life and purpose of our community. We rely on the generosity of our members and friends to sustain our programs.

Donations of any amount are welcome, but they are not a condition of belonging.

Membership 

Membership in Kol Shira is open to any Jewish adult age 18 or older who affirms the purpose and values of the community, as well as to their Jewish or non-Jewish spouse or life partner and to their children. Membership in Kol Shira is defined by a commitment to engage in, support, and contribute to the life of the community, and includes the privilege of voting in Kol Shira community decisions.

Statement of Commitment

Using the form below, I affirm that I support the purpose and values of Kol Shira—to build an inclusive, participatory community rooted in joy, song, connection, and spirit, offering opportunities for Jewish life and observance in the traditions of Reform Judaism—and that I meet the eligibility requirements of a voting member:

  • I am Jewish, or my spouse or life partner is Jewish.

  • I am 18 years of age or older.

As part of my commitment to Kol Shira, I pledge to:

  • Participate actively in the life of the community. 

  • Help sustain the community with my time, energy, talents, and/or financial support.

  • Connect with and support the well-being of fellow community members.

  • Integrate my Jewish children, if any, into the life of the community.

By submitting the Statement of Commitment, I affirm my membership in Kol Shira, with the privileges of membership including voting in community decisions.
