Our Music Makers Group

Kol Shira Music Makers and choir members have a quick rehearsal prior to a Shabbat service.

Music is central to Kol Shira’s identity! Our name literally means “voice of song.” Making music together is a spiritual practice and a way of building community, connection, and shared meaning. Participation matters more than expertise. Whether someone sings confidently, quietly, or simply listens, music is a shared language that brings us together. Our Music Makers group gathers regularly for rehearsals to learn music for services.

More than a Choir! The goal of Music Makers is to help to build the ruach (spirit) of our services by singing from the congregationto help others sing along too.

Music Makers is open to all singers—whether experienced or not—and to instrumentalists at an intermediate level. Contact Cantor Gostein for Music Makers information or to join a rehearsal and learn some music. 🎵🎶😮
