Learn about taharah (ritual preparation) and shemirah (guarding the deceased), and how you can provide this after-death care together with Kol Shira’s care committee, Rachamim.

Members of the chevrah kadisha and shomrim provide spiritual and physical care for the deceased from death through burial, in partnership with the broader Austin Jewish community. These sacred services are offered with compassion and at no cost to families.
